Can anyone offer advice on booking flights to the canaries for December. We'd like to travel just after Christmas. (to any of the islands)
To Tenerife for example, outbound prices for Aer Lingus are quite high from Dec 27th (380e), Ryanair are a bit cheaper.
Is it likely these prices will come down or a sale will be announced or is it the case that around these busy dates the prices are now set?
we have been told to wait until August for the best deals. any truth in this?

It's a peak time to travel, I'd say there will be little movemant down on those prices.

its not €318, for more than one person its actually €358 each one way (or you can book one at 318, they possibly sit separate, and then the rest at the higher price)

this would strongly suggest that this 4 1/2 hour flight (just shy of a mere 3000km, and marginally less than the distance across the atlantic to the nearest airport in St Johns) is very full already.

considering its almost a transatlantic distance, paying almost transatlantic prices shouldnt be so much of a shock to be fair.

Still, Ryanair has flights for €214 the next day if thats any help, or thomas cook from Belfast for about the 200Euro on the 27th or less again for the 28th.
