Combining signals

    Is there any kind of adaptor that will take the cable feed (just analogue, dont have digital) and the aerial feed and then output on 2 connections (one for the tv and one for the media box)

    Or would this cause a problem with the signals...

    Cable uses upto channel 35 so you need a combiner that splits on Ch 35.

    Depends on where you get Saorview from. Kippure woks but 3 rock is too low.

    Where do you get the Saorview signal from?

    It is Kippure, but try and do a scan - you are looking for ch 54 and ch 58. 3Rock is on ch 30 and ch 33.

    Where can I get one of these combiners? All the shops seem to just have a single input, multi output boxes.

    That one has 2 inputs (split at UHF 50/52) and a single output, cable input 1/Saorview input 2. Short term solution as Kippure will be shifting down the band in a few years, of course analogue cable could be gone by that time too.

    It won't make a difference as Kippure starts at UHF 54 and that model no longer appears to be in stock.

    It will if they move the Kippure channel allocation. 3Rock was on 54/58 before they moved it. 35/37 works very well, and there are other suppliers.

    The Kippure replan is likely to be 22, 25, 28, 32, 34, 35.
