Reverse lights in NCT

Hey folks
One of my reverse lights isn't working and I have changed the bulb and still no joy,
Will this cause a fail in the NCT

You only need one light working.

would anyone know what fuse in an avensis is the one for the reverse lights ?

Should be written on the back of the fusebox lid or in the manual.

Would think its not a fuse if the one bulb has blown.
Without checking I expect they are both on the same circuit.

Could be bulb holder. Are the contacts good?
Can you check for power to the cables connected to the bulb holder?

Are you sure you have 2 reversing lights

What year Avensis is it? I think the first models from 98 to 03 had two reversing lights but the model from 03 to 09 had only one.

yep. orignal avensis up to 03 had 2. all newer models just have one on passenger side.

Your rear fog light is on the other side in the same position.
