Hi - I'm currently on Job Seekers' Allowance and have been offered a contract for 6 weeks' work (they pay an hourly rate and don't pay any prsi/paye).

Does anyone know what the procedure is in this situation (do I sign off for the 6 weeks and then am I able to sign back on when the contract is finished?).

Any info or advice would be really appreciated. Many thanks

You sign off for the 6 weeks. You are eligible to sign back on at the end of it from your first day of unemployment. Your file may or may not be referred to a social welfare inspector at this stage, but your local office will advise you of the situation at that stage.
