    Hi

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of commuting from Churchtown to city centre on a daily basis. Looking at moving to an address near Nutgrove shopping centre.

Is it easy to get into town in the morning - the luas is a bit of a walk. the 14 bus is an option as well, is the bus usually full by the time it gets down to churchtown? is it very slow.

The 61 bus is another option, along with the buses which go through rathfarnham village like the 16 (again, a bit of trek every morning).

Any comments on peoples experience would be appreciated.

Id probably cycle in to town or cycle to luas, nutrgrove avenue is nearly 2km long, where abouts on it is the house? Buses at peak time will take ages to get in... timing bus with the app and taking it when schools are off, probably wouldnt be too bad, you might have to just go with different options, depending on whens schools are one and off etc. My mate just today started cycling from just behind nutgrove shopping centre to heuston station...

You will get on the 14 alright (except when LUAS is on strike!).

It can take about 30-45 minutes to get into Dame St depending on traffic and the time of day. Departures before 07:15 from Dundrum will get into town easily enough, after that journey times will steadily increase.

Allow about 10-12 minutes for the bus to get from Dundrum terminus to the stop before the Barton Road roundabout and 15-17 minutes to get to Braemor Road.

The 61 will take longer at peak times due to much heavier traffic en route.
