My wife is getting a new Macbook Air. She wants to keep it separate from my iMac and iPhone, but would like to be able to sync Contacts and some purchased iMac apps.
Is this possible? She doesn't want it to react when I get an iMessage or email for example.
Can we use the same Appleid and control it?
    Thanks.

Separate user accounts on the Mac, one for her and one for you if you want to use it. And separate Apple IDs. If you are both currently using the same Apple ID, stop and create a separate one for her. You can enable family sharing if you want to share content and payment method.
