Herd number

    I applied for a herd number about 3 weeks ago just wondering if anyone knows the waiting time was hoping to have it before the BPS deadline on May 16th

    At this time of year it can take a few weeks. Once you have applied for it before the 26th may your fine

    Where r u based there's a big backlog limerick/clare areas. I applied end of December and am still waiting. Hoping to get it this week. Had the inspection about 6weeks ago at this stage.

    Have been told can apply for BPS without herd no.

    Down in cork just after leasing bit on land and want to transfer my uncle's maiden heifers

    Definately wouldn't be expecting it before 16th May. You need to have inspection first to check crush etc. But if it's for BPS u can apply without herd number. Not exactly sure how but have been told by ag advisor we can.
