You can wear a light motorbike face mask images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTKnfZTI5T24w30mQAe9VwlFmSQQ6_T-txjkp4IabzAVIkZCVmw1A or one of these use an old sheet solarbandw.jpg

how about fixing a piece of cloth to the inside back of the helmet that'll cover your ears and neck like one of those French foreign legion hats or else a pair of ear defenders built on to the helmet

Ah Anto got there before me

you're right to be concerned. I know someone who had the top of their Ear taken off in surgery because the got Ulcers along the outer edge of the Ear and was told that it would never heal and the only solution was to cut the area away altogether.
At the very least use some sun factor every day on the Ears and Face.

It sounds like you are suffering with prickly heat Google it
Any cover you use under the hat will have to stop the uv rays getting through
The doctors can prescribe something to relief the symptoms

Thanks for all the help. I have been at doctors and he prescribed a gel like cream to be used twice a day for 90 days and it cost 107 euro. It hasn't done much good yet. I will def get some thing for my helmet to cover my ears and neck, I wonder can they be got in ireland

A good look on flea bay will get you something
Out of interest is this the first time you have suffered with it, I myself first got it when I was about 28 and I had worked outdoors since I was 16 and unfortunately I get it every year now you learn to live with it
Some sun protection can actually make it worse because it blocks the pores and stops you from sweating oil based are the worst in my experience I tend to use a water based around a factor 8 and just top up every couple of hours

Physical blocking of the suns rays is still the best method, slip on a shirt slop on sunscreen slap on a hat was the advice given for years to combat skin cancer in sunnier climates than here.

Yes I got it myself few years ago but it seems to be getting worse. As I out in weather all the time I want to sort it. I put on the cream I got from doctor first thing in morning and then apply factor 50 few times during day. Still get the biles on my ears though. Cant wear hat during day as I have to wear helmet
