Architect or interior designer?

Ok, this is probably a silly question but, I've acquired a 3 bed semi D which has existing free standing furnishings in it. IKEA shelves and chest of drawers etc. I'd like to change the look of the place but not change any structure, probably get some built in wardrobes and try as make as much use of the space as I can, get ideas for the living room.

I'd like some professional input so, do I contact an architect or an interior designer for this?

Hey steppen a guy that was recommended to me before is Garry Cohn he's an american guy. Really passionate but very good at listening to what you want unlike some of the people we see on the Tv. worth getting in touch anyway especially if no one else can recommend someone. He's an architect and interior designer so you get the best of both and only have to pay for one ha!
