Well not really dramz, just can't agree on a spot with yer man.

The drury buildings too hipster, shel pure/cliff town house too fancy, f&b booked out ahhhhh!!

I mentioned in another post we're looking for a city centre restaurant that has or can double as a function room for a band and dancing, or restaurant and pub function room somewhere else. Band I like are currently free on our date so wanna get it all booked asap!

Now considering Brassiere 7. Does anyone have any experience of a wedding there? Can't find much in the way of reviews online.

Okay. *sweeps up pulled out hair*

    Thanks guys!!

Have you looked at Shanahans on the Green? I know a couple who had their meal there after wedding elsewhere but the function room was a decent size. They had their evening do more local to home though so not sure it would suit but the food is amazing!

Braserrie 7 would be a bit of a step down from F&B. Last time I was there I thought it looked run down. Have you considered the Dean, Odessa, Odeon, Oscars? Or Andrew Rudd's new place on Fleet st?

I was at a wedding in Fire and it was brilliant. It was small enough though probably only about 50 guests. They had a private room upstairs and a three piece band came in after dinner and all. It was a great day.

I agree with this. Brasserie 7 isnt exactly a high class venue in my opinion, they're always doing offers on Groupon and from the outside it looks a bit run down.

Wouldnt be what I'd chose for my wedding unless there were literally NO other options.

How about something a bit more out there, like Dublin Zoo?!? :

I just did a quick search on the OneFabDay wedding venue finder and thought this might be closer to what you want.

Definitely not brasserie 7, the surrounding area isn't the best!

    Have you tried Dobbins?
well known for small numbers / private functions and excellent food:

Lovely location near Merrion Sq which could be great for photos also.

I've just thought of the Schoolhouse Restaurant / Hotel nearby also.
I think it's been mentioned here before:

My little sister was at a wedding here and there was only about 50 guests. Said it was a great night and the food was really good!

I had my reception in Eden Bar & Grill. Not an obvious choice but it worked for us.
The food was fab, we had a band and a DJ later on in the night. (we just cleared tables for a dancefloor).

The outside doesn't shout out as an obvious choice but once you go through the doors, it really opens up.

Also the staff were incredible on the day.

Just to add - the name Eden Bar and Grill doesn't do it justice. Its a restaurant, with restaurant quality food and service. :)

I agree the food is fab in Eden, I've eaten there several times. You would have do very little with regards decor as it's speaks for itself.
