Finishing up Springboard course

I'm finishing up a 1 year hdip on Springboard at the end of this month. If I haven't secured a job by then, what happens with my payment? Will they automatically switch me over to job seekers at the end of the month, or do I have to go through the new claimant process again and have to wait some weeks for payment?

Technically you are still on jobseekers albeit with a category of springboard. I presume your payment is currently going into your bank account, that will be switched back to the post office and if you have been excused from signing you will return to signing again. There shouldnt be any need for you to make a repeat claim but do call in to find out when your payment is being switched back to post office and as to when you will need to sign on.

It might be slightly different for me because I was working part-time before starting the fulltime springboard course. So I wasn't receiving money into the post office, but submitting casual certs every week and receiving a cheque in the post. I will call in and ask them next week.

Okey doke. But if you arent working currently then your money will revert to a post office payment but if you are still casual then it will remain going into your bank account as casual payments have been changed over to bank payment.
