Sky - I/o link box

Can anyone help advise me on what I'm doing wrong?

Got the I/o link box from power city, connected it to the I/o port and the end of the magic eye into the other connection. The magic eye still won't work or light up.

I googled the step by step guide, which includes accessing the sky services menu but the menu options are different and still doesn't work.

Power off the sky box and connect the i/o link and run cable from the rf2 connection on it to where you wish to use the magic eye.

Connect magic eye to the end of the cable and insert into tv etc...

Power back up sky box and press services
01 select to access hidden menu
press right till you get to the menu rf outlets
set a freq eg 25 and turn the rf power to on.

If done correctly then the power should be on the eye and you should get a picture, if its gone through a wall point you need to check the inside of the wall plate and if there is a green circuit board you will need to bypass it and join the cable with two f connecters and a f barrel joiner.

I can't get access to the hidden menu - this is what I get when I go to services, 01 select

    Services --> 001 --> Select

Ok got to the menu, changed the options and still no light on the eye..

The connection was originally set up by a sky installer a few years back. He drilled a hole in the bedroom wall to feed the connection wire through, so would this be going through a wall plate?

The installer that was here the other day said just to get that I/O box, connect it and it'll work as normal

I think I'm missing something. Does this look right?
Then magic eye cable connects to RF Out

The cable feeding to the magic eye is from RF Out. ie. Out from Skybox to 2nd TV

RF In, is for an aerial to loop through.

Sorry my mistake just edited that there

We still can't get it working, swapped the IO link for a new box in case it wasnt working but magic eye still has no light

Some of them DFE i/o links don,t work on some sky boxes i read it was something to do with power problem.

Bring it back to powercity tell them its not working and bring your skybox also then you can check in shop all you need to do is see the redlight working .

Powercity are aware of this problem on some boxes and are always very helpful in fixing the problem.

I grabbed a sky installer on the road and grilled him as to where I was going wrong !!

I had the magic eye connected to the wrong port in the IO link box (d'uh!). I had to use an extra connection - pic attached - and it worked perfectly.

Previous fella said I didn't need any extra connections, just get IO link and plug in.. I knew I was overlooking something so simple!!

Further to this the first IO link box I got, the connector that goes into the IO port was quite loose, so doubt it would've worked anyway.

I'm back and I've no idea what's gone wrong. Green light on at the back of the 2nd tv where the I/o is linked to but no sound is coming though. Remote also doesn't work for sky but does for the tv. Is that an issue with the connection to the main box? Any tips on how to fix?

The I/o link hasn't been working in months and then last night I noticed the green light was back on. So strange!!

If sound isnt coming through you need to check the setting on the TV and if it's an old set make sure its set to pal I... And not pal bg etc... Make sure the power for the rf is enabled on the box as I explained earlier.
