    why would you need one of these when a garmin mounted on the bike is just as handy and not as distracting to the line of vision

    Looking down at your Garmin isn't always safe. Descents and bunch races being good examples of times when you can get yourself into bother trying to read it.

    I am sure we 'll start seeing the local terminators on the A4 races soon enough.

    That said there's little to no need to look at the Garmin in a race beyond seeing how far you have gone or how far to go, unless you are in a break when HR and/or Power can be useful metrics to see if you can keep it going or not.

    some one else has something similar so Gamrin thinks there is a market. My I dont see the appeal.

    Garmin do some good gadgets that I would love to buy. This isnt one I'd buy

    i cant imagine anyone showing up to their club ride/ race and not getting dogs abuse for wearing one of these. ill take my chances looking down at my garmin
