I'm swarmed with cats at the moment and one died bout 2 months ago in the bushes so I didn't remove it. Just let nature take its course on. This morning I went out and the cats body was in the middle of the back garden. I'm thinking a Fox has dragged it out. It's fur is all over the place. And looks like it's been gnawed at. Another cat wouldn't of done this so I'm thinking Fox. Any idea's?

Most likely. Foxes will smell the carrion. A friend of mine from Drimnagh had a feral cat die in his back garden. My friend looked out his window one day and saw a fox ... the dead cat was gone.

Rather a fox than any cat any time. Im big into shooting but never could shoot a fox... beautiful animals. Feral cats on the other hand devastate native birds and are a curse on our wildlife so the less the better.......

Very likely a fox, but badger is another possibility. You probably know yourself whether they are likely to be around though. Where I live if you want to bury a dead pet, you need some wire mesh and a few concrete blocks over the grave for at least a year, if you don't want to see it again.

no, just a long lens out the back window. he slept for a while on a large pile of cuttings down the back of the garden, in the sun.
