Medical Expenses Relief for Old Age Pensioner

My mother needs to have cataracts removed and doesn't want to wait for 2 years to have it done publicly so she will pay for it to be done privately. Her only income is an old age pension. Is there any medical relief (Med 1) she can claim on the expense? She doesn't pay any tax. If one of her children pay the expense for…

Your mother cannot claim as she doesn't pay any tax but most certainly you or anybody else who pays for her care can claim on med1.
Keep the receipts.
