How come many sprays don't give a knapsack mix rate on their literature - ie they give only the mix rate per hectare, which is useless if you just want to spray a small area. ta

Apparently its because they are not licenced for use in a knapsack.

thistlex isn't licenced for use in knapsacks but is the only job for those creeping thistles I've been using it in the knapsack for year and only figured out it wasn't the done thing while doing that spraying course

Good question., why can't one apply the stuff via knapsack - the only stuff you can apply by knapsack i think are roundup and Grazon

Knapsack isn't deemed 'professional'

you can spray a hectare of ground with a knapsack

if the application rate for example says 200lt water/ha then that equals 10 x 20ltr knapsacks

if you walk at the right speed, have the right pressure and nozzle it'll do teh same job
