Garden Leveling / Drainage

    Hi,

we're looking to buy a property that has a slightly awkward garden on a slope that seems to catch a lot of water as well.
The garden is roughly 10m*10m (maybe more on the 10*9 side) and has a an increase in elevation towards the back of ~1.2m (maybe a bit less).
The idea would be to level the garden out, put L-stones with compacted soil roughly 1m from the back to support the higher ground and put drainage into the ground. The rear is accessbile with a mini digger, south wicklow area.
    My questions are:
    - who'd do this kind of work? Landscaper or do i need a builder?
    - any idea of what this would cost?

    any answers greatly appreciated.

So it's really more of a builder than a landscaper job?

An experienced landscaper ie familiar with construction but also plant/lawn requirements would be the better option. Most of the problems associated with surface flooding, over compaction are usually as a result of poor treatment of general ground soil areas. If you wish to optimise levels but provide good lawn and/or growing ground conditions, you do not require a builder.
