Should I buy a TV box for my Smart TV?

Hi all, I have also posted this in another forum as I'm really not sure where this should go.

I have a new Smart TV on the way (Hisense 50M3300 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-202001-50m3300.aspx) and I'm wondering if I need to buy an android box or equivalent in order to watch live sports etc. or will I already have this capability on the TV?

I also know nothing about the various boxes and am at a loss as to what would suit best. I'd like something that can stream in 4K (if even possible). I saw that Fire TV is supposed to be good? Honestly all the different websites are making it difficult to know what's best. I'm sure boards will know the best value boxes also.

If anyone needs any more information, please ask. I would appreciate any help or guidance.

    Thanks in advance.

Highly unlikely the smart capabilities on the TV will allow you to watch live sports.

Thanks Davo, that's exactly what I imagined. Do you have any suggestions as to a good box that won't break the bank? I'm overwhelmed by the amount of boxes out there and the terminology is like a foreign language at times. I have fast internet and would like something that has the capability to stream in 4K.

    Thanks for that.

Is it as advertised? I'm a bit skeptical of it actually being the spec it says it is, given the low price. I would be happy to be wrong. Have you streamed anything in 4k on it?

4K, no, i dont have a 4k capable TV unfortunately to test this. Everything else seems to be in order though.
