My mother's Yaris has spots of rust at the front of the sump and its leaking oil very slightly.

what would be best for a quick fix...p38 or p40 or something else??

    Thanks,

Get a replacement sump before it lets go and dumps all the oil.

Yeah, replace sump. Ring some breakers or maybe even get a new one online.

Since you will have to take the sump off anyway to patch it, it would actually be less work to just replace it. And if you attempt to patch it while it's on, you're on a hiding to nowhere.

Another sump is what you need. Body filler isn't suitable for patching a sump

    That's unlikely

Sump is the same on the automatic.

Second hand sump in good condition would be the cheapest or alternative but i wouldnt recommend it is to sand the sump grind back the rust, get someone to weld the patch that is leaking and repaint

    got a new sump

...but i've been charged €100 to change it...is that a fair price??

Is 100 only for the sump change or also the new oil that is needed?

    100 isn't bad really .it's not a 5 min job but not a 5 hour job either....
