tail painting

    Wel lads,suckler farmer whos goin to try tail painting in the mornin,im about 3wks late i know as the bull is with the cows 3wks but my feelin is its never too late to try something new!would like to have more accurate dates for my ladies and shorten the caling period by dealing identifying repeats etc.

    So basically im looking for the dos and donts and general procedures!no information is too small or too basic!btw its a 31 cow herd if that makes any difference!

    Use emulsion house paint. Any colour you want. Keep it cheap.:P

    Why are you using tail paint if you have a bull, just put a chinball on him and let him mark the cows he serves.

    Never thought of it!how much is one of those?do they put the bull off his duties at all?

    I have one but the bull eventually scratches it off, They are over €120, plus the paint.

    Connaught agri have one as well.

    Doesn't stop the bull.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    You can also use a harness and crayon at a fraction of the cost €20 for the harness and over €2 for rack crayon. You can buy them off Munster ai.
