Religion and Ethnicity through food - where to shop in Dublin?

Firstly, this may not be the correct forum for this thread; if not, apologies in advance and please relocate as seen appropriate.

I am interested in undertaking a cultural project that explores ethnicity and religion through food; specifically, raw food (not cooked dishes) and condiments.

    1. I'd like to know where different religious and ethnic groups shop for their specific requirements in Dublin. Addresses of the shops, please.

    2. I'd also like suggestions for the following; if there was one item, and one item only, that a given Muslim, Jewish, whatever, kitchen or larder would have, what would it be?

    3. If you could choose three items (and I'm assuming that the one chosen in 2. above would be one of them) what would the other two be?

E.g. If I was answering for Irish and Catholic, I would answer the potato for question 2.

But, question 3. is trickier. I think that the other two items, along with potatoes, might be milk and salt. But, others might well think differently.

In short, what is the essence of any given race's or creed's diet?

    Many thanks.

    D.
