Faulty installation of garden doors

I wonder if you can advise?
    I bought a house 3 years ago.
Garden doors are now falling apart (2pairs). They leek and let water inside the house.
I realised that the seal around the glass and frames is on the inside unlike all the windows. Hinges are outside which doesn't seem wright.
I am convinced the doors were installed on the reverse side.
The manufacturer won't admit they've made mistake.
The developer says the manufacturer installed the doors not them.
What am I supposed to do?
Is there any professional that could have a look at the doors and tell I am wright?
    Should I contact solicitor?

Most of the doors opening outside have a hinges outside also. I don't think they were installed reverse side, maybe they are just in bad condition or need adjustment or new seals.

These doors are only 3 years!
There is no seal outside at all
But there is seal inside the house - what for? All the windows have a seal outside

Can you close them easly, or need to lift them to close or to lock?
Can you post some pictures here?

I do have photos but I cannot post them because I am a new member.
The doors did not open easily and yes I have to lift it to close the door.
I had them adjusted few weeks ago by the windows company engineers and they used silicone to seal the glass on the outside - that doesn't seem professional to me...At the time I was not aware they could have been installed on the wrong side and I didn't ask about that.
The double doors have a post between them that partially covers them - again from the inside and there is nothing to protect doors from the outside giving easy access to the house in case of burglary...

Does the name of the company that installed start with M?

Had same issue with a company from munster.
    They installed doors backwards.
Good luck. I'd recommend solicitors letter follow by Small Claims Court action for the price of new doors (up to 2 grand).

By the way, these cowboys also installed a front door in my father's house with 2 letter boxes in it.

The AVSPM (Association of Very Short Postmen) fought a long and brave campaign to have this made part of the building regulations!! ;-)
