I have adware driving me cracked on my HTC one. Keep getting pop ups saying I have a virus. Back button gets rid.
Pages redirect to a Google play screen offering game downloads. Again, back button sorts it temporarily.
Ads on boards are now all overwritten after a second or two the real ads disappear and are replaced with hook up sites or virus warnings.

I have not downloaded any apps recently. I have run malwarebytes and avg and both give a clean bill of health.

Can anyone advise? I'd prefer to not have to factory reset .

    Thanks.

Download Firefox and install the ad blocker add on to it. These redirects are usually from rogue advertising on pages. Used get it on my HTC One M7 and sometimes get it on my Galaxy S6.

Try running adpush and uninstall the apps it comes back with.
