Always planned on getting a car together for a few track days etc but never had the money, so now that I can finally afford it Im just wondering does anyone know what the story is with the time attack events in mondello?
What does the car need etc? What do I need ?
Going to buy a bmw to use as a project car and get whatever needs done on it fairly soon to head up to a few events for a rip around the track

You can do the track days no bother and all you need is a helmet. Mondello organise track days them selves but there is also Autoheroes (run by the people that run the Irish Drifting Championship) that does them.

So I dont need a roll cage or harness or anything for the track days? Whats the story with the actual time attack competition events then? Where can I find details on rules and regs for them ?

Not sure about time attack but for track days you can drive a normal road car or less. No roll cage or anything needed!

And what's this track day about?
Is it just driving around the course?
Do they have lap time measurements?
    Do everyone ride together ?

Lightning answered your question but it is a heap of fun. I've only took my car once but it was the best fun ever, I broke the car a bit but it was well worth the skills I've learned recovering the car when the back end goes loose for example :p
