    Hey there,

I've been following this forum for a few years now have learnt a lot from it. Lots of good reads and info :)

Now if I could maybe ask for some advice from you good folk. I've recently applied for a customer service role within an airport. I've been trying to get into the airport for a good few years now, but lack of transport held me back big time.

Has anybody any tips for interviews for CS in airports, I have some experience volunteering in another local airport and I have 10+ years of customer service experience so I'm hoping that's a plus.

Any advice, tips or experience would be greatly appreciated :)

    Cheers!

I'm no expert but I'd imagine it would be similar to other customer service jobs.

    Cheers for the reply :)

There seems to be a lot more to this. First aid experience, production of MayFly, monitoring terminal and gate resources etc.

It's a direct position with the airport rather than a handling agent. I'm confident with what they're asking in the personal spec. Just trying to suss out the interview and get some ideas from anyone in a similar job ATM.

What is the actual job title ? Are you sure it is customer services ? Production of MayFly and and gate assignments would indicate some sort of Operations Position more then CS. Either way you have a good bit of experience behind you for a start but I'd read up a little on aviation security as it pertains to airports as that is a big part of modern airports.... Otherwise as the other poster says not much different to any other CS job really if that is indeed what it is.

The job title is 'Customer Service Agent' To be honest when I heard about the job I just thought it would be a presence in the terminal to help pax out with directions etc.

Was pleasantly surprised when I got the job description in the application pack with the other duties involved. its all quite exciting.

I'll defiantly sharpen up on the security side of things.

Cheers again for the reply, much appreciated :)
