I am currently in leaving cert 1 or fifth year and I want to repeat it again due to the fact that I will only be 16 for the leaving cert course and I have failed majority of my subjects this year I was wondering if I will be aloud repeat

Additional info: I got caught mitching a class so now my principle won't let me repeat anymore. Can he do that? And if not how do I go about reporting it I have also apologised and was extremely upset in school and he said he didn't want to speak to me

As far as I know you have to apply to the Dept to repeat 5th year. It's not an automatic thing.

If you are staying in the same school next year you may need to apply to the department. If you move, there's a good chance the school will allow you to start 5th year in that school regardless of whether you have done it or not,

it's a good idea as you will be a step ahead and be at a better age leaving school!
