Housemate wrecking my head

    Hi All

Head is all over the place because of my housemate and need advice.

Background, Girl moved into house little over a year ago (Four people in House in total all randomers). Everything was grand until september when we started hanging out a bit more and I wont lie I fell for her badly! I tried to fight it as I always had a rule of not to go near house mates that way! I thought it was mutual, so just before christmas, I told her I fancied her to which she intimated she had no interest.

Fair enough I'm a big boy, can handle rejection said it wouldnt let it effect the mood in the house. Both of us steered clear of each other but not in an awkward way, she did her thing I did my thing. Then around Patrick's day we again spent a good bit of time hanging out again have the laugh getting drunk together (one particular night we stayed up all night talking) but nothing ever happened nor did I try anything.

Anyway this went on until the middle April, then all of a sudden she starts staying in her room etc avoiding me in general hanging out with other housemates and generally behaving very differewnt while I am around, one of the other housemates even asked me did we have a falling out. As circumstances would have it the last 10 days I have rarely been in the house either and arriving home after every one has gone to bed. Then thursday night she comes home drunk comes into my room on mumbling but before I can say anything jumps on me in the bed, getting me quite badly in the gentlemans region. but hugs me then she gets up and walks back out I and into her own room. I was in agony for about 10 min but just went back to sleep after. I didnt see her or Text her Friday as I went home to my hometown.

Then Saturday night about 12 she texts apologising saying she was sorry and it wouldnt happen again, I was out at the time and just text back it grand dont worry about it. Anyway he avoided the house altogether last night and havnt had any communication since.

I suppose I want to know what you all make of this? Is she wrecking my head, Is she just stringing me along etc

Just ignore it. She said she wasn't interested so accept that until she says she is, if she is.

Not sounding harsh but I don't really see the problem here?
When you live with random people these sort of scenarios happen. She apologised and said it wouldn't happen again so I would suggest just moving on with your life.

    Hey OP,

I think this girl doesn't actually know what she wants. Best advice I could give would be to agree with CaraMay there. The only definite info you've gotten from her is that she's not interested. Take her at her word and move on. Be her friend but know that for now, that's all it is.

Not so much stringing you along as just acting a bit odd, frankly. Ignoring you and then jumping on you when she's plastered. Is she quite young?

I think the only thing you can really do is take her at face value and move on. She's told you she doesn't feel the same so you probably should work to put a bit of space between the two of you lest your feelings get stronger. Barking up the wrong tree here as far as I can see.
