    Moved out from someone's old thread.

    There are mentions of Bolk if you search before http://www.boards.ie/search/submit/?query=bolk
    but to be honest, go with a name brand like Mintex or similar.

    bolk are the cheapest of the cheap common brands personally id stick with the oem brands like

    ATE
    Pagid
    Textar

    not much more and names you can trust

    I think its ECE R90 spec for brake pads. It lays down the spec for wet/dry braking performance.
    Obviously there will be differences with different pads but for an average driver that isn't asking track performance they should be fine.
    Its not just as simple as saying that Chinese stuff is poor quality, many big manufacturers are making stuff in India and China to their specs.
    I don't hear a lot of people complaining about Chinese made iphones, so why would it be any different for anything else?

    there is but there is still good and bad performers . and for the sake of 20 quid on brakes of all things id stick with the ones i know perform better
