    Hi there,

I've been interested in taking up pilates for a while now but unfortunately with work and other commitments I don't have the time to get to formal classes. I'm a beginner but I relatively fit and healthy and my core would be OK. Would it be advisable to do some of my own based on YouTube videos or apps? If so, would you recommend any? I'm looking to strengthen and tone my core so any help would be great.

Should I start with beginners or maybe try intermediate? (I have no real pilates experience just general fitness)

Thanks in advance, all help and suggestions would be great :)

There are plenty of youtube videos you could watch and try to work along to but there is no substitute for a proper class.

Form and technique is essential for good pilates work. Without a properly trained Pilates teacher it is much easier to sustain injuries etc.. My advice - make time for a class.
