    Hi all,

I'm getting a new road bike soon for commuting, through bike to work scheme. I was using a bike from Argos for a while but it broke down after just over a week (250km), returning it tomorrow, and want to get a new one this week or next.

    What I'm looking for:
    Road bike, drop handlebars
Be able to fit 25c tyres since the roads I'm on every day aren't the best. I think 23c would be a little thin for those.
Preferably compact crankset but I can live with triple
It would be great if it has eyelets for pannier and/or rack
    Preferably 600 euro or less

I've been looking at a few bikes and I'll be making a round of bike shops in Galway soon, probably next week somewhere. I've tried to look at their inventory online but most don't have it on their website. Halfords do but my employer doesn't work with Halfords in their bike to work scheme.

Very interested to hear what you think of this list and looking forward to any recommendations, not only for specific bikes but to good shops in/around Galway as well! Thanks all :)
