Hi all I'm looking to buy a new android phone €250 is the maximum I can spend. I'd love to hear any suggestions as to what is the best phone on the market for that kind of money. I'm not big into gaming on the phone the most important things to me on the phone would be the camera, and build quality I have young kids and my phone gets thrown around quiet a bit. Apart from that I just watch some you tube check e mails etc. I've done a bit of research and the motorola moto g seems good? I've never had a motorola so any advice would be much appreciated. TIA .

    are we talking SIM Free?

    As I got the Samsung S7 for 155 ...

As a new vodafone customer I got 50 off the list price of 299 on the 40 a month contract, they also took my current phone as a trade in another 95.

so all in I walked out with an S7 and an Otterbox for 188

need a new phone myself with a similar price range but I'm always skeptical of these deals.

My current provider, does an unlimited everything plan for 25 a month.

Presuming Vodafone is a 2yr contract, thats an extra 15 euro a month or an extra 330euro.so the phone actually cost 480quid. Not knocking your choice, it is handy sometimes to go for deals like that if thats your thing.

I'm looking at a few samsungs atm but the chinese androids such as alcatel seem appealing.

I was paying 30 with three ...yes the 4g was unlimited(only until june btw - just to explain, it would remain unlimited but there was going to be an extra charge for using 4G) ... I'm now paying 40 ....but that includes the sky sports 1 and 2 package ( dont have Sky Sports at home AND Mobdro keeps loosing streams)

I do most of my usage on Wifi so the 3GB limit isnt an issue ... I checked my previous usage before moving and found I was never going over 2GB anyway

Oh and the Three 4G and normal mobile network are very poor out my way ...
