Smashed my Xperia z5 screen to bits last weekend so I know how you feel.

I did a bit of research and there seem to be three options:
    1. Network repair. Go to your three or Vodafone or whatever store and get an official repair. This will take the longest and be the most expensive but the repair should be top notch and your warranty will not be affected. And your phone will still be waterproof. Expect your phone to be wiped.
    2. Expert repair with original parts. Find a repair company or individual who uses only original parts and can make warranty repairs. It will be relatively expensive but typically cheaper than option 1, and quite fast. They should use actual manufacturer parts, your warranty will remain, and your phone will still be waterproof. Many of these guys are either existing or former authorised repair technicians. Phone may not be wiped.
    3. Cheapo repair. There's a lot of these around, and this is where someone who knows their stuff will use an OEM or non-original part to repair the phone. So it may not be an actual Samsung screen, it may be a Chinese knockoff or similar, if one exists. The cost will be low but you will lose your manufacturer warranty (replaced by the cheapo repair places own warranty of a few months usually), and you likely lose waterproofing. The workmanship may not be so great either.

So I took a chance and went for option 2, and I was very pleased. Jacek at http://jackophones.ie/ quoted me in advance for the repair, promised original parts and waterproofing and a quick turnaround. €185 for the parts and repair, which is galling, but the entire screen and frame of my phone had to be replaced.

I sent him my phone by registered post and had a perfectly repaired phone in 3 days. Literally as new with original screen and frame. I would definitely recommend enquiring with him for the cost of repair of the s7, he will likely also have the parts in stock. If you don't fancy post then he's based in malahide.

Whoever you go for I would stress that you insist on original replacement parts. Also not a good sign if they don't have the replacement parts in stock and are ordering off eBay as it means they don't do many repairs. You're paying for experience here really as theres nothing stopping you from buying your own replacement parts and giving it a go, but the YouTube videos had me convinced to get the experts to do it. Best of luck with it.
