Trying to get a quote for a friend.

1300 euros with a Irish license
2000 euros with a UK license.

All other details the same. They've been driving in Ireland a couple years. Didn't believe it when they told me.

Is this legal? Anyone know any sites to recommend to them?

Why not exchange it for an Irish licence? Main reason is points can't go on to a UK licence for offences committed in Ireland.

Yeah, that's a lovely thing about insurance in Ireland, they just say and do whatever suits them. This year I got a complete bull**** from 123.ie

Got qoute for 890eu online so I called them, when lad went to confirm it, it blew up to 1700eu.
He looked in to it and said my license is am issue.

I have eu license for 12 years. 5 years ago I swapped for Irish one as insurance companies forced us to do it. The whole cheaper insurance blablabla. So now they see me as having license for 5 years in total, not 12. It makes it even more retarded when I got 8 NCB.
I asked your man to check how much insurance would be if I stayed with eu license and it went from 1700 to 1400. The point of insurance taking a piss just went through the roof.

Ofcourse I got bull**** from them that's benefits me in the long run as I will have Irish license longer...
