Hi i am slightly confused about how the amateur class works in the Dublin horse show I am aware that the competitors competing under "A" status jump lower fences than the "AA" status but in pictures I have seen from previous shows I see that the two classes are merged and I don't understand do they lower the fences for both categories or how do they distinguish the winners in the 2 categories thanks

    Its essentially a handicap competition.

The As jump first, then they raise the course and the AAs jump.

Then its the same procedure for the jump off if there is one
