    Hi,
Thanks for putting these up. I've got an Amiko Alien 2 and am looking into an edision box. I'm looking at the OS mini triple tuner. Can you recommend which is the most stable image for this box?
    Thanks

I have vix on the satellite single tuner version, its very stable. Its comparable to the vu zero, has the added bonus of wi-fi and its about 20 euros cheaper.

I've an Edision OS mini, running on OpenVix. It regularly crashes on me, which is frustrating! I've uploaded the error screen if anyone can make sense of it!
Anyone with a recommended setup on this box(skins, plugins etc.)?

yes, you just configure the image to suit. get openvix to start and if you have any questions most people have vix and can help.

    OK.

So I flashed with vix image from single tuner.

Then I setup the second tuner and initialised the hdd, ran abm and epg download.

All seems OK. Are there any other settings I need to change because of having the second tuner.

    Thanks

no, I take it you have network set up as well. NB dont update the image by using the download feature, in fact wait a good while to update image. You should use a usb stick for epg purposes and finally use a second usb stick to create a full image backup of your existing set up then if it goes wonky you can use that. I take it you found the guides.

So all seems OK except that the epg is not auto updating.

I've configured it to update at 5 am and I've 2 sat feeds connected.

If I manually download it, it works fine but it's not auto updating.

Any idea what setting I've wrong

    Thanks

are you putting the box in standby or deep standby? It won't download it in the latter.

    Just normal standby.

Not listed in the info menu or the devices menu.

I've setup these boxes before with the same hard drive with no problems.

Think I'm doing everything the same

    Thanks

Normally should show up of you reboot after connecting the hard drive.

I have occasionally seen where I've had to do this process more than once before it worked

Ok, so i think I've solved it.

Turned everything off and inserted a 16gb drive. it picked it uo and the storage devices line appeared in the menu.

Then plugged out 16gb and inserted 320gb. It showed up and initialised.

    Hopefully job done
