Not as good as last week's. Found the Jack-and-Alicia bit wholly unbelievable.

Why does the Mexican guy keep saying he can only get him and Strand through the Mexican border? The country has gone to sh*t, I doubt there's any border controls!!

Strand was that close all that time?

I think he mentioned money as well, maybe they just want the character to be out of touch, he was bothered by a mark on his car

Did I miss a memo - when did Nick leave the boat to swim to shore, or when did he arrange this with Strand?

I thought exactly that for a while... Rather annoying, thought I'd missed an episode.

He left the boat just before he got in the water. It was revealed that Strand asked Nick to do so at the end of the episode. Don't you think it added to the episode, having to piece together Strands backstory and motives ourselves?

talking dead after show indicated it had been agreed by Strand to send Nick it was part of his usefulness/obligation

I wonder if Mexico is, so far, untouched by the outbreak. Dougray Scott's accent kept switching from Mexican to Scottish, it was kind of funny. I'm really liking Nick as the show goes on. The episode was good, Connor seems like an interesting creepy villain.

Lol I thought he was playing a Scottish character! Is he meant to Mexican!?!

I'm really not sure! :p Maybe he was meant to be Scottish. The accent was odd though.

I don't mind a cold opening, these normally turn out to be flash forwards to something gets set up post credits (like in TWD) but I didn't see any set up at all (now admittedly I was watching it late at night and might have missed something), the only thing I saw Strand do in that episode (apart from being in the flashbacks) was get off the boat, get shot at, drop his phone and lie, shivering, in the water.

I don't have to be spoon-fed every detail in a story, but it would be nice to know it's dinnertime or even whether we're going to a fancy restaurant or McD's.

I get what you mean, however I thought it added to the mystery of it. I was wondering wtf, is nick gone looking for drugs? Did he just want to smear himself in zombie guts and wander around like a weirdo?? Has he turned into an annoying teenager wandering off to get in trouble as a plot device? And equally with Strand, how he reacted wasn't really how I expected him to, it wasn't the Strand I had built up in my head. Now I see he's a bit of a coward who stole his fortune and really needs someone like Nick to do his dirty work because he can't do it himself.

the ammunition was taken from his gun though right? it looked he wanted to take back the boat otherwise?

Ah right is that what the look of panic on his face was when he took the gun out? Like the previous poster I watched late at night! Missed that point.

He muttered "Stupid paranoid fool" and I fully agreed with him. On a boat full of assholes and basically repugnant characters, I think I'm beginning to dislike Daniel the most.

Only got to see this, thank god nick didn't take the old man clothes out of the bag when he swam to shore. The whole story seemed so far fetched with strand and dougray, when the kissed I was like not a bit believable. It is picking up so at least that's something.
