10 sp cassette on an 11sp freehub - rattle

I need some help on this, I have a new pair of RS81 wheels which are 9/10/11 sp compatible, I assume this means the free hub is 11sp and wider. I installed a CS6700 10 sp cassette as follows. Spacer on first, following by cogs and 3 additional spacers as the cogs went up. All good, tightened the lock nut and off for a test spin to be greeted by most unusual sound.

I think, and this is where the help is needed,

that I need an additional spacer nearest the spokes?
I need an 11 sp chain (narrower)?

I have noticed there is much more movement on the cogs (vertically and also slight horizontally) when installed.

Do I also need to re-index the gears each time
I swap out wheels (original wheels have a 10 sp 105 cassette with loads of life left on it and the chain.

    Cheers

Shimano 6700 cassette comes with a thin spacer (newer version 5800,6800 etc don't). To fit an 11 speed freehub you need that thin spacer and one supplied by Shimano to make the 10 speed casstte fit. Mavic supply a similar spacer for 10 speed Shimano cassettes to fit their freehubs. The two spacers should be fit first then the cassette and lock ring. I presume you have a ten speed set up on the rest of the bike so you don't need a new chain.

Any cassette wobble thereafter would be attributed to the freehub body.

many thanks. I have misplaced the spacer supplied with the the wheel (or rather someone else in the house did). What width is this spacer (I have read of a couple of different widths). The cassette spacer went on OK. The rest f the setup in all 10 speed
