I'm looking at buying a 2015 VW Golf Highline 2.0TDI 150bhp. I'll be changing from a Passat 1.9TDI. Is there anything to look out for in the 2.0 engine? The car only has 4,000km on the clock so with a couple of years of warranty left it shouldn't be an issue, but any common issues?

That engine is only around since late 2014 so it's early days yet. The only thing you would need to be aware of is that it might be affected by the VW "Dieslgate" emissions scandal.

Yeah that's something I plan on asking about.

I don't think VW have announced what they are exactly going to do yet but I'd imagine any remedy would be voluntary and it hasn't stopped people from buying VWs. Just keep in mind that it's in the interest of any dealer to not put you off buying so keep that in mind when you get an answer. :)
