    No. You won't be getting it today. Tuesday at the earliest possibly Wednesday

    Its amazing they say wont bepaid til tuesday cos no money moves yet my insurance that was meant to be paid tuesday went today

    Neither the banks nor SW have any control over it
    It's to do with SEPA

    Its nothing to do with banks closing. It gets laid first Tuesday of the month.

    You see, up till about 18 months ago , on a public holiday SW paid all the electronic payments one day early. So where normally CB went in Monday night , on a public holiday it went in Friday night so your C B was in your bank A/C Saturday
    Happy days
    Pizza and movies and ice cream for all Saturday night
    Since SEPA was enforced that's all over.

    But before septa was introduced it used to be paid early on the saturday of a bank holiday weekend.

    Not anymore

    But ive a direct debit dated 3rd of may on my account with the money gone

    so it can be still took early but no payments made early.
