I'm looking for a small frame , probably 48-50cm to build up a road bike for my son. He's about 5'2-5'3 tall. Aluminium/carbon.

I'm open to suggestions. Let me know if you have anything suitable

    Thanks

    HI zip

Probably aluminium with a carbon fork or full carbon at the right price.

    Budget is 200-250.

    Hi

I have a 48cm canyon roadlite (aluminium frame with carbon fork) that is surplus to requirements.

Its currently built up as complete bike, with Campagnolo Veloce, and Mavic Askium wheels, but would be happy to split, if that suited your purposes better.

Quick measurements are ctr BB to top of seat tube 48cm, and ctr to to ctr of top tube 50cm. Some very minor cable rub around the rear drive side drop out, otherwise in excellent condition.Let me know me know if you are interested and I can post a few pics, later today.

    Hi Kebel

This sounds like a good option. I'll have a look if you post pictures.

How old is it, how many kms etc?

What kind of price are you thinking?

    Thanks

    Hi OP

Frame is about4 years old, but not seen much mileage, as it is one of several bikes in the stable. A bit like your own situation it was originally purchased for one of my kids, who has graduated to other more expensive hobbies / modes of transport.

Anyway here's a few pictures. If you are genuinely interested, I can travel (within reason) to facilitate a viewing before you make a final decision; you can let me know when you have seen the pictures.

In terms of price, I had a figure of €250 in my head but might have a little bit of wriggle room re that, if you're interestested you can let me know where you want to be price wise, and maybe a deal can be done.

Definitely interested. Would you include the seat post, stem and bottom bracket in the sale?

    Where are you located?

    Hi Dreddie

Firstly, I'm based in North Kildare, but travel around Dublin with work, especially South Dublin, where are you?

Regarding the seat post, it was pretty expensive, c. 100, if my memory serves me right, so I can't do that, at least for the price quoted. I'd have been listing that for sale separately, but if you can stretch to 280, then you can have the frame, with the carbon FSA SK-K seat post, plus I will throw in the stem and BB for the same money; it's a Square Taper Double, by the way. (BSA thread). The BB is practically new, you can see for yourself how smooth etc, if and when you view the frame. Let me know what you think

    Cheers

    Kebel

The seat post is probably a bit fancy for my needs.

I can offer €220 for frame with bottom bracket and stem subject to inspection if that works for you.

Let me know and we can arrange to meet. I'm in Bray so somewhere on M50 would work for me.

    Thanks

    Hi Dreddie,

Given, I'm throwing in the BB (new) and stem, if you can stretch to €230, then you have a deal (subject, as you said, to inspection). As well as the stuff already mentioned, I'll throw in a brand new, (still in the box) bar tape, silver, like the one in the pictures (for the above mentioned €230) ; it make the bike look really smart for the young lad :)

I'm away for a couple of days but am working in Sandyford area on Tuesday and Wednesday so can meet you somewhere between there and Bray, if that suits.

Let me know if that works for you, and we can move to PM to arrange a meeting etc.
