I am backing Galileo Gold €100 at 12/1.
Never be afraid of one horse and all that.

There should be a right old ding dong between Jungle Cat and Sole Power in the Palace House stakes at Newmarket tomorrow. With Jungle Cat carrying 6lbs less than on the last occasion when they met off level weights, I would be inclined to favour it at 7/1. As much as I'd love to see the old boy win this race for the third time, I just think its best days are behind it.

The group 2 race looks good too. Simple Verse v Big Orange v Jack Hobbs . Least not forget a star of the end of last season, Star Storm . It will good to see Moore ride Exosphere as well. Bit unfair that Jamie Spencer gets jocked off Big Orange. Has not done anything too wrong, Bell must not have been happy with the Dubai run against an actual Group 1 horse

Funny how the filly is the top weight

If ground is soft not sure about Jack Hobbs .

Might back Big Orange but this might be a bit sharp for him.He is race fit though

If the ground is not good forget Sole Power, despite winning at the Curragh .Ran really well in his first Dubai race and was not good in the Group 1 got no ride and it was not a race that suited him. Conceeding weight doesn't help but, bar maybe a match fit Jungle Cat , Lynam just needs to worry about him gettibg Sole Power ready to "kick ass"

Based on ground and price , Ed Walker's horse. Not mad about the jockey

Boring, but the best bet of the day is surely Rayvin Black in the opener at Goodwood. Only need to look at its hurdles rating of 149 as opposed a rating of 70 on the flat to see that this is a quality horse that is well handicapped. 9/4.

Ground at Newmarket expected to be good before the start of the first race.

The Job is Right has threatened to win a good handicap and it could be today 14/1. Backed Sean O'Briens in the bumper coming back from a long time off but he was 6/4 for his point and they can ready one 33/1. Slowmotion to beat Limini 4/1

Not often you see Tom Segal being a bit keen on an Irish horse running in a big handicap race in Ireland, Desoto County 8/1 in the 5:35 was one I fancied anyway.

I can't believe the price of Air Force Blue. I mean yeah it might win but has it really done that much to warrant being odds on??

Herald the Dawn each way for me

Buratino each way for me, value to be had with the price AFB is.

Impressive winner of the Phoenix, National and Dewhurst last season. He's head and shoulders above this lot. I reckon he should be shorter than 8/11.

Good call on each way for Bolger's .He normally has his horses within top three in both English Guineas.

Does anyone fear the War Front factor ,could Air Force Blue just be another War Command? Great as a two year old and slightly disappointed as a three year old, not fond of ground worse than good ? Granted the dewhurst suggested Air Force Blue can get the mile

That's a single horse, a lot of his train on. Declaration of War, The Factor, Data Link all improved with age

If only they all went in like that.

Usual "unlucky" comments from the Channel 4 team. Jeez why not spend the time talking about what a good race ran by the winner and look at the horses that finished well. Jamie Spencer (explains why he left Big Orange) was apparently "unlucky" at Goodwood with Basrah. Eh, no, he rode the horse the usual obsessive way, way out and expect the horse to catch them (I did not have a bet on that race btw)

I backed Galileo Gold at 12/1.
His price went out massively. I backed him again at 16.5/1.
That might be the road to the poorhouse.

After listening to Clive Cox after his earlier winner I had some of the 66-1 about Zonderland for small ew stakes

    Well Done!

So, apparently, Hugo Palmer can only train sprinters, lol. This and Covert Love. Juddmonte better start sending more horses over to him.

Racing Post had offered free editions for a year to it's members if Air Force Blue won

Interesting to see what happens with Air Force, one never wants to see a good horse flop so bad, but maybe , still too early, he is just another War Front, does little as a three year old. The hype about "monster" etc

Sadly, and I am hope I am wrong, Air Force Blue might not be one of them. Just taught War Command. Hearing about the tongue tie scared me. Moore is quoted as saying that he is not the same as last year. O'Brien suggested that he may have over trained him, he suggested as such a week ago. Air Vice Marshall might look good for the Irish Guineas.

Another embarrassing "best ive trained" hyped job from o brien. Terrible performance. Nice to see hugo get his day in the sun. Really honest trainer.

Rating suggested he wasn't bad either.

Irish Guineas come too soon for AFB? SJP will be interesting. If he's a decent price I'd be willing to give him another chance.

This thread is typical of my luck all season, have backed Rayvin Black every run since the start of the season and missed him and this thread and the great shout on Gallileo Gold, hope yiz had plenty on.

I even saw the title and thought the Guineas isn't on til early May, ffs :mad:

And this from a guy who's only won 7 2,000 Guineas. It's not as if he knows what he's talking about.

And yes, i agree he can be full of the old bs when it comes to promoting them.

Come now with slagging off Aidan (not you) No where near as bad as the bullishness of Richard Hannon Junior (who is a sound lad)
