We are heading to Albufeira in middle of August
Would like a few pointers like what to do places to eat attractions etc etc.
Will be a big group of adults ranging from 30 to 50 so looking to suit all.
    Thanks in advance

You will be able to get all your grocery supplies in the pingo doce supermarkets. large 'lidl' type supermarkets and they even do cooked chickens, handy for sandwiches / salads etc...

great bakery called pao da aldeia across the main road from the worms roundabout and another one at the crossroads of the strip. all types of bread, cakes. it's a busy place, very popular. they do ham and cheese slices which is handy for lunch if you are having a day at the pool.

a fab coffee/cake cafe is the Riviera, highly recommended, next to Modelo shopping centre

If you walk towards the end of the strip, go down the hill towards the beach. On the right hand side there are some lovely beach front restaurants. The first one you come to is a Chinese, Oriental Tea and I’d recommend it.

If you like Indian food, the Clay Oven is a MUST, at the worms roundabout towards the strip and you will walk past it. About 200 meters up from the worms roundabout.

One of our favourite restaurants is Dom Capito, next to the Vila Gale Hotel

The cockerel country kitchen (#1 on Trip Advisor), just off the side road of the strip do a fab sunday roast and 2for the price of 1 meals.

Farnels steak house just off the strip is also to be recommended, a busy popular place with regulars to Albufeira.

Some of our favourite restaurants in the old town are: Ricardo's, Shalom, O Catraio, O Veleiro and Casa da Fonta. Shalom II is the best restaurant for all you can eat ribs, highly recommended.

If you like piri piri, you will find a good piri piri restaurant at the BP garage (Franguinho de Albufeira). Don't be put off by the location, it's popular with the local Portuguese.

there is a fab beach at Averios. It's left at the tres palms restaurant and follow the signs for it. When you can walk no further, follow the path around an apartment complex and you are right on the beach. It's a lovely sandy beach

Vilamoura is about 10-15 minutes away, you'll have a nice evening down at the marina there
