Advisor to complete Tams 2 online application

I've just gotten planning permission for slatted shed and now need to complete the online application for the Young Farmer Tams 2 scheme - looks way more complicated than I thought it would be!

I'm with Teagasc - rang advisor who told me that (i) they have farmed out the Tams 2 application to external provider and (ii) that the overall fee is 750 ( think that includes full process from plans on though). He was supposed to pass on my details to this other crowd but two weeks and several reminders and I've heard nothing.

Could anyone provide details for agri advisor in Tipperary area who would be used to completing the online application? Know I could have a go myself but if fees reasonable might be better to pay than risk the whole application?

    Thanks!

You should just download the manual and do it yourself. Most advisors will be fairly clueless as this is a whole new system. When you're adding on the individual shed areas make sure to use the inside dimensions of the shed.

Thanks - you're probably right. I downloaded manual and guide and have a fairly good idea of how to complete sections for the new shed but think info for current storage more complicated. I've an old style open tank at end of silage yard and not sure how to deal with questions about that one.

Have you successfully gone through the online application process ?

That's the price alright , it's one comfusing form, do u have slurry storage already ? , they look for that

I see that's required in the Nutrient Storage Facilities section alright - do they have a guidance doc setting out how much storage you need for the different ages of animal?

I have one existing slatted tank which I think should be straightforward but I'm struggling with the old uncovered tank at bottom of silage yard. This would collect effluent from silage pit and also run off from dung from calving pens - the area of slab running into this would increase as the silage pit is used up. Scratching my head to figure out how to record this in the Nutrient Storage Facilities section?

€750 some money for the Teagasc application..

    Great - thanks.

Had cattle alright but think capacity should be fine as numbers bit lower than usual. Looks like also permitted to include some out wintering as well on the application.

I may just have to make a best effort with the Nutrient storage entry for the outside tank and go with that.
