Very, very, strange results from Sky riders in today's stage 2 of the Tour of Romandie. Apart from Thomas, the rest finished over 17 minutes down on the stage!

98 Mikel NIEVE ITURALDE ESP. SKY 32 +17:30
    99 Christopher FROOME GBR. SKY 31 +17:30
    117 Salvatore PUCCIO ITA SKY 27 +20:35
    119 Ben SWIFT GBR SKY 29 +20:35
    133 Michal KWIATKOWSKI POL SKY 26 +20:35

    Bad fish dinner maybe?

Needless to say, twitter is having a bit of an evening.........

Froome punctured, that took him out of contention. I'd imagine they just eased up, saving themselves for tomorrow and onwards. If you're out, you're out. No point blowing a gasket trying to get back when there's a bigger goal down the road.

Yeah, he punctured on the second last climb with 20k to go, but it still seems strange TBH, especially when all the others seem to also have sat up......
The Tour is still a long way out!

I thought he caught up after a wheel change but was dropped after nairo''s attack?
