Leaving Work

Hi, I've been on Casual Payment (Part time work) for just over a year. I'm having serious issues in work with my boss (almost to a bullying stage, although I refrain from using that term) that has been ongoing since a few months into the job. This issue has caused a huge high turnover in the job and have seen a lot of girls leave over the same issue I'm facing. I am feeling really depressed and angry over the situation and really can't take anymore of the crap I'm dealt on a daily basis. This seems to be an issue only with the part-timers.

I've been out sick the past two weeks (Pleurisy) and really want to hand in my notice ( 1 week) but as I'm on Casual payment, I'm worried this will be stopped and all welfare benefits cut if I leave. I just know once I return next week, my life will be made a living hell and am too ill to face this. I am searching and have been since before this employment for a full time position but took this job interim and to gain some work experience but jobs are few and far between as we're all aware. I have been looking into some child-minding (in family homes) options but am also concerned these will be frowned upon by welfare also.

I have my BA Degree in Nursing and a huge educational background, but because of this my work experience is limited to childcare, cleaning, bar work etc

Any advice would be grateful and appreciated?
