Cleaning a Bodhran skin?

I recently purchased a Bodhran off adverts. It has a manufacturer stamp from Aidan A. Mac Rory in Clontarf on it. The Bodhran is also signed by The Corrs! The problem though is the previous owners children drew on the skin with a brown colouring pencil D: Could anyone recommend any methods to try remove the colouring…

The Bodhran is also signed by The Corrs! The problem though is the previous owners children drew on the skin with a brown colouring pencil

Could anyone recommend any methods to try remove the colouring pencil without removing the signatures? The signatures are in permanent marker and were made BEFORE the colour pencil marks!

If anyone has any idea what kind the value of the Bodhran has too I'd appreciate it! I'll post pics of it tomorrow!
