a516 website reporting this is testing on the HD multiplex with a view to launching soon. Most devices cant see it yet.

Should be coming to Freesat as well. a516 also reporting Freesat programme data is being broadcast.

Starts today on Freesat and tomorrow on Freeview, see the threads on ds and the official Channel 5 announcement. Sorry, don't have time to post links but I am sure others will!

No mention of it on freesat.co.uk - where does it say the 5 HD is launching?

Been reported on Sky's forums by Sky staff, Twitter by Channel 5 themselves, and also on Channel 5's own website that it will launch on Freeview and Freesat today.

It's on the same mux as BBC1/2 HD; UTV HD and Channel 4 HD so it should be on every relay as well as main transmitters here in NI. Long overdue IMHO.

It is on all Freeview transmitters which will also provide significant overspill into the Republic as well, provided you have a DVB-T2 receiver. The change of heart followed the change of C5 ownership, the end of the Sky exclusive contract, and the freeing up of LCN 105 following the departure of BBC3 to the Internet.

The Gadget Show is on at the moment. Looks great in HD. A long journey but all 5 main UK terrestrial channels now in HD. The more you do of viewing stuff in HD, the more that Saorview's SD output becomes even more unacceptable. Also as noted in other threads recently it's not even full SD!
