Hey, i will be in florida in 2 weeks time,
my xps is far past its retirement,
basically i am thinking of buying a laptop from amazon.com or best buy & get it delivered to the hotel I am staying in,
I assume this will be safe enough, that the delivery guy will attempt to make contact to me to try deliver to my room, or the hotel will be safe to sign for it

I am thinking of going for a MSI GE62 PRO004
I am thinking this model http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GE62-Apache-Pro-004-i7-6700HQ/dp/B0150PJR3K/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1461790058&sr=1-1&keywords=msi

    My budget is from 1000-1400ish,
I hope to be able to play some recent games on the laptop, is the one i am going for good value to take advantage while I am in the usa?

    thanks

    US: $1000
    UK: $1270

Small saving IMO considering the nightmare you'll have if you need to RMA it.

You are also supposed to declare it for Customs, which would wipe out the savings.

I've ordered from Amazon.com to be delivered to a hotel in the US before, by the way, and everything went fine.

I have a Dell laptop from the US, by the way, and it needed a new keyboard. My local repair shop was able to get one, but it needed to come from the US (because it naturally had a US-type keyboard) and while the repair itself wasn't excessively costly (all things considered), it took weeks.

Go into a wallmart and see what they have on special offer.
