Mate of mine moved to the states and I'm bringing him over his favourite stuff - including Moro bars. But I can't find them anywhere in Dublin yet. Does anyone know where they are sold?

Oh my goodness, looking at pictures of Moro bars makes me want one so much. Haven't had one in years but now I want one for myself too just thinking about them :)

They are called boost now but are exactly the same, you can get boost bars in loads of places, multipacks in Duness, Dealz have them, I have a 4 pack now, they're so nice. There's also bit size boost bags available in deals as well.

Check out the retro candy store next to the Central Bank, in Dublin? Be prepared to pay "top dollar", though. Check if you can get them imported from Australia (as that's where they were made).

The old Boost bars used to be horrible but they changed the recipe again and now they taste more like Moro used to.

Centra near me always has them.

I always thought Boost was a totally different bar.

Cadbury have Moro bars on their site! What is going on? I have emailed Cadbury to get to the bottom of this.

Good idea, that would be great. Don't mind paying extra for my mate in the states. I'll check tomorrow and report back.

That article was from 2014, so you're too late.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moro_(chocolate_bar)
There are three different types of Moro sold in New Zealand, the aforementioned 'standard Moro', the Moro Double Nut containing peanuts and hazelnuts, and the recently released Moro Gold, which is similar to the Irish Moro and the Boost Bar sold by Cadbury in Australia.

Seems the Moro you seek may no longer exist.

Boost used to be coconut, I remember them when they came out as I liked bounties.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boost_(chocolate_bar)
    History
Boost was launched in 1985 as a tough coconut and caramel bar, coated in chocolate. It was then relaunched in a further two variants: a peanut version with peanut butter (yellow wrapper) and a biscuit version. The coconut version is no longer available. The peanut variant is now called a Starbar. Starbar originally existed before peanut Boost but was taken off the market and rebranded. Then they changed their mind and rebranded it as Starbar again. The biscuit version is now the standard Boost bar. A further version was launched in the UK in 2002[1] with a green wrapper: this contained guarana; was marketed alongside the biscuit Boost; and advertised with the slogan "Boost Guarana: One Step Ahead". However, this was eventually discontinued.

For a while Boost was advertised on television by comedy duo Reeves and Mortimer. This led to the unconventional advertising slogan "It's slightly rippled with a flat under-side."

In Ireland, Boost bars are known as Moro bars. A peanut Moro bar is part of the range. In 2007 there was a limited-edition coconut Moro on sale in Ireland. As of 2015, Moro brand is being phased out and replaced with the Boost brand.

    Cadbury reply on Moro

'is extremely popular and should be available generally throughout the retail trade'

I only found a Boost in a Moro-like wrapper -but it's tiny! This is it beside an AA battery:

Rather than buying them, and then paying for shipping, how about you buy them in the USA, and have them sent to your mate? You may get better deals if you searched.

Tesco are selling them right now at BOGOF, multipack of 4 bars for 2e - great value, but the bars are TINY. Taste great.
