Opel Vectra 1.9CDTi running rough

Had a issue driving home last night with my 07 Opel vectra 1.9CDTi 150bhp. About ten miles out from home the engine began to splutter and developed a misfire. The car stalled out soon after and I got out checked oil level, engine temp etc and all was fine. Car restarted and got me home but was running terrible rough. It appears to be a fuel issue. Is there an injector gone?

It will need a scan to diagnose, otherwise it could be anything really.
Prob is fuel/injector related though :)

I know from experience that engine in Saabs gives problems with 3rd ( I think) Injector wiring.
    Have a Google .
Not sure if the same issue was regular in the Opel tho.
It was 200 odd quid to fix in a Saab dealer.
I think it's a doable diy job but I got stuck other side of the country and had to use a dealer.

Funny that the injector wiring is mentioned. I checked all 4 injectors and ensured the electronic connectors were secure. I gave each of them a push on to ensure the connection was OK and the car ran fine for a mile or two before reverting back to misfiring. Maybe there's a dodgy connection on one of them? It's strange though because there was no warning light on the dash illuminated at any stage.

Have a Google of it Its a well known issue in Saab forums ,
I presume it could be The same on the vectra too.
I remember seeing a how to on how to fix it and the wiring on eBay, it wasn't a hard thing to do.

Edit: I just had a quick look there on the phone so can't link.
But while it's running rough give the 3rd injector connector a wiggle and see if it fixes itself.
The plug or wiring is dodgy and needs replacing .

Sprayed the no.3 injector plug with some electrical contact cleaner and the engine is running perfect again! If it continues to be a problem I'll get the plug replaced. Great diagnosis there guys!
